The problem

The efficacy of antidepressants prescribed to patients with major depressive disorder is around 40%, which means that 60% of treated patients do not derive therapeutic benefit.

Primary care:
Most of the patients consult their GPs who are not expert in depression: 53% of the patients are not properly diagnosed.

OPADE Project - The problem

We will conduct prospective observational clinical studies (paediatric and adult) to determine panels of molecular and non-molecular biomarkers to help predict the efficacy of antidepressants from the first week of prescribed treatment.
